Latest Snow Load Measurements

Plumas County Building Department Inspectors took snowload measurements in the Chester Area on January 26, 2010. Measurements indicated the actual snow load to be approximately 40 pounds per square foot well under the required minimum  100 psf design load. As a note, buildings constructed since the early Seventies have been constructed to meet a minimum of 100 pounds per square foot.
